About Us
Abby Hubble is the founder of Emergence Wealth Management. Started her company because she wanted to restore trust, integrity and confidence to financial planning and financial advising. She started noticing the clients in other firms felt more like numbers rather than people. Financial matters are deeply personal and have such a profound impact on someone’s life, it isn’t just business it is personal. She wants each client to know they matter.
But who is she? She is a midwest gal and moved to Oklahoma with her family when she was younger. She has been in the Tulsa area most of her life, aside from the summer heat, she loves it here. Personally, she is a math geek that loves the arts. Her favorite mediums of art are, music, paint on canvas and food. Art is a way to express yourself. She recently started singing with a Gospel Jazz band, Tulsa Praise Orchestra, someone heard her singing in church and recruited her. She also loves to cook for the people she loves. To her cooking isn’t just something you have to do, it is an expression and an act of love. The best recipes are the ones you create yourself, is her motto and her Flavor Bible helps with this. Paint of canvas is a way to get out of the analytical side of her brain and just create. Painting is something she does from time to time, and thankfully her nieces and nephews love to paint with her. Like most people, her family is very important to her. She loves being the cool fun aunt and feels one of the best contributions to her family is to create a safe supportive environment for those she loves.
When she was in college her parents signed her up to take the Dale Carnegie Course, which greatly impacted her. When she first took the course she was so shy she would pretend to read so she didn’t have to talk to “new people”. Her instructor unlocked something within her. She went back to Dale Carnegie to refine the public speaking and human relations skills, but fell in love with the transformation of each person she coached and herself. She coached on and off for more than 18 years. She carries this love for helping people into everything that she does, especially into her practice as a financial advisor and financial planner.
Professionally, she started out as a psychology major, but as her parents were attending some classes on investing, particularly day trading, they invited her to attend because she had always been fascinated with the financial markets. The man teaching the course, a former trader on Wall Street, kept calling her out to ask about specific trades and her rationale behind them. One day that former trader from Wall Street encouraged her to pursue a career as a financial advisor and financial planner. She eventually switched her major to business. She graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a degree in organizational business with a strong emphasis on finance. She holds her series 7, 65 & 63 licenses along with her insurance Life, health and annuities licenses and can serve as a fiduciary. She was licensed in 2008, which she admits probably wasn’t the best time to get in the industry but was great from an educational standpoint. “It is your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life’s story will develop.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
Abby doesn’t shy away from challenging situations or cases, but rather embraces them. Over the course of her career she has seen a lot. She works with clients, helping them get on the right path to achieve their financial goals. She is a firm believer that investing doesn’t have to be complicated, financial planning doesn’t need to be overwhelming. She loves helping people realize their dreams. She is passionate about taking the complexity out of financial planning and investing, making them accessible and easy to comprehend. She has served on various boards and other capacities as well as served in the local church. At the heart of everything she does is people. She believes true leadership comes from a place of serving others.
“I’m that girl. That girl that doesn’t sit on the sidelines. Doesn’t wait to be called on to be put in the game. But realizes I’m already in the game. I’m already on this earth. I have already been called…called and equipped by the creator of the universe. I cling to the truth that God created me wonderful & unique. I realize my presence matters. My gifts are needed. I desire my brothers and sisters in Christ, flourish on all levels. I am brave and I am graced.” Unknown
